"The biggest thing we get out of it is seeing the kids smile. And hopefully we will also see that the lessons we're teaching - not only the fundamentals of hockey, but also the life values - are sinking in." Bobby Orr
As parents and coaches, we recognize the commitment to your child's interests, as well as those of the entire team; thank you for tireless effort and support!
Vulnerable Sector Check
All coaches will require a vulnerable sector check completed prior to October 31, 2019. All checks after this time will remain on file for a period of three years after which a new check will be required. All completed checks must be submitted to the THMA secretary by October 31, 2019. To obtain your vulnerable sector check, you may download a copy of the letter from the home page of the TMHA website and take it with you to any RCMP detachment and complete the documentation as directed.

Respect In Sport
Effective May 1, 2018, all parents, coaches and team officials will be required to re-certify their Respect In Sport programs every 4 years. This great program is designed to keep our sports respectful, free of bullying and harassment and most importantly, fun for our kids. If you received an email notifying you of the expiration of your certification, please take a moment to review the program by accessing the link in the email sent to you, or by selecting the link on the Links tab of this site. Please note that a copy of your certificate must be submitted to your team's manager PRIOR to your child accessing ice.
THMA Parent Handbook
The TMHA handbook details the rules and bylaws of our association, as well as expectations for conduct of the executive, parents, coaches and players. Hockey Alberta requires that all associations review their bylaws and amend them as required. Part of our initiative this year will be to review and revise the bylaws and we want input from our parents, coaches and fellow executive, basically, we want YOU! We welcome all constructive feedback to create a positive and accountable environment for ourselves, our families and our players. If you have any suggestions or comments, please feel free to send them to our executive so the proposals can be discussed at our next AGM in the spring of 2019.
